How Can severe Middle Back Pain Be Treated?

I have been having middle back pain that now radiates to my right side. This has been going on for 6 months....in this time I have lost 50 lbs. I have had one x-ray during this time that stated it was compression fractures. I have very little energy, bruises appear that I have no explanation for and chronic, sometimes overwhelming pain. Could you give me some idea of what this may be and what I need to do. Current doctor is not helping very much at all. Thank you

Hello,

The symptoms are more consistent with spine related problems like a prolapsed disc.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedic and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
